Xp Deus finds Saxon hoard

Paul Coleman was blessed with finding over 5000 Saxon coins in a lead bucket

The hoard contains coins dating back to the 11th Century - the late Anglo Saxon, early Norman period.
The hoard contains coins from Canute and Ethelred II

Most of the coins were un circulated

A museum could then buy them and the proceeds being split between the landowner and the finder.
